Compared to the Boxster, the Cayman has a stiffer chassis and a more powerful engine. The 3.4-liter engine produces 295 horsepower and 251 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm.
In addition to the powerful engine, the Cayman S boasts a more sporty interior. The cockpit includes covered storage bins, cup holders in the center console, and door panels. Also, the seats are more supportive.
A leather-covered gear shift knob and handbrake handle add to the feel of the steering wheel. An optional BOSE Surround Sound System featuring ten speakers delivers an excellent sound experience. Likewise, the front and rear seat airbags are equipped to protect the driver and passenger from the threat of collisions.
Some standard features include heated and power-adjustable sports seats, a nine-speaker CD stereo system, and a navigation system. There is also a rear parking assist system.
For a more sporty driving experience, the Porsche Cayman S also offers an Active Suspension Management option. This system allows the driver to switch between a comfortable ride and a track-ready setup. The Cayman S’s suspension is adjusted during this mode to remove the body roll and provide a more focused steering effort.
Like the Boxster, the Cayman has two cargo areas. However, the rear area is recessed behind the engine, giving the cabin a more compact feel.

The Macan is available in eleven different colors. The one I’m reviewing is Dark Blue Metallic. This isn’t a bold choice compared to other colors, but it has its merits.
For a sporty SUV, the metallic paint on this model has a lot to offer. It’s bright, and it shines like a million bucks. It is a good option. But it lacks some of the shine with a real metallic paint job.
Silver on this Macan is not the shiny silver of the name-brand competition. Instead, it has a lovely shimmer and blends in with the rest of the grey on the vehicle.
The Porsche Macan has an unusual powertrain for a compact SUV. It’s a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that produces 340 horsepower. When paired with a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission, this engine is good for 339 lb-ft of torque.
